MARVIN isn't ready to install yet. Here's how to hear first.
It runs every day on my machines, but setting it up still takes knowing how I set it up. When a stranger can install it and be guided through the rest, it ships as the first release. Until then there's no download here.
Option 1
Watch releases on GitHub
- Open the repo (a free GitHub account is all you need).
- Click Watch, then Custom.
- Tick Releases and apply.
You'll get one notification when the first release ships. Nothing else.

One line is plenty. Say what you'd use it for if you like. I'll write back when it's ready, once. No list service, no newsletter.

The blocker is the default build: a fresh download, with no help from me, that ends at a working MARVIN. That work is tracked in the open, in ticket #646 and the tickets around it.
What you'll need when it's ready
- A Mac. The core and its tests also run on Linux; the desktop app is macOS only today.
- Claude Code, signed in.
- Python 3.9 to 3.12, and about 300 MB for the local embedding model.
- A GitHub account, for tickets and pull requests.
Want to read the code before then? It's all on GitHub, and the docs explain each feature down to its source.
