I'm Gil Eskayo. I started MARVIN in May 2026 as a small layer of memory around Claude Code, because I was tired of explaining my own projects to it every morning. It grew from there: skills, a pipeline that builds tickets while I'm away, gates that keep it honest, a dashboard to watch it all, and a second and third machine to run it on.
I use it every day. Its pipeline wrote 81 of the engine's own merged PRs, and it helped me ship Seal Speak to the App Store. The repo has 2,000+ commits and 80+ written-down decisions, and every one of them is public.
The rules it's built by
- The simplest thing that actually works. Study the problem until the small answer shows up, instead of adding machinery.
- Tests try to break it. Bad input, failing dependencies, wrong order, a person's mistakes. If it's reachable from outside, attack it like an adversary would.
- Verified, not assumed. A claim counts when code checks it. That goes for this site too: every number has a date and a command.
- Errors are never silent. If something fails, it says so, with a reason, where you'll see it.
- Leave people more capable. Automate the chores. Coach on the things that make you better.
